School Counselor, E.Ds.
Hello, my name is Mrs. Hinds and I am so proud to be the school counselor for Middle Ridge Elementary School.   I received my EDs in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama and my M.Ed. in School Counseling from the University of the Southwest. Prior to joining Middle Ridge Elementary School, I worked as a middle school science teacher in Rockdale County. I believe that all students can be successful by building upon their strengths.

As a member of the Counseling Department, I provide a broad range of services to facilitate learning and personal adjustment of students in school. These services include:

  • Indirect Services
    • Coordinate RTI and 504 meetings.
    • Make referrals for outside counseling or assistance.
    • Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, professionals and community members to support student success.
  • Responsive Services
    • Individual counseling
    • Small-group counseling
    • Crisis response services
  • Core Curriculum
    • Evaluate school and student data and outcomes
    • Develop core curriculum to address desired student competencies
    • Deliver classroom lessons in cooperation with classroom teachers

I'm looking forward to working with all of our students and family!
