Mrs. De’ Wanda Chester is the assistant principal of Middle Ridge Elementary School. Mrs. Chester has taught in elementary, middle and high school settings.

She is a product Atlanta Public Schools and Dekalb County School System.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood from Bethune- Cookman College in 1994 and her master’s in adult education from Central Michigan University in 2001.  She received her specialist degree in administration leadership from Lincoln Memorial University in 2004.  At the age of twelve she read the autobiography of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune’s and vowed to attend the college that was started with “$1.50 and five little girls” (Bethune-Cookman University). She “Entered to Learn” and “Departed to Serve.” Her f

avorite course in college was Children’s Literature/ Reading Methods.  Her most memorable college moment was attending the BCC 1990 graduation ceremony. She is most proud of her four years cheering the “Mighty Wildcats” basketball and football teams to many victories as a BCC cheerleader.

Hello, my name is Ron Edwards. I am from Decatur, Georgia. I have a heart for educating children and have used my background in performing arts and career and technical education to help inspire, motivate, and transform communities in the Greater Atlanta  Metropolitan Area. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, singing, watching movies, and investing quality time in my friends and family.

I attended Tennessee State University, but have conferred my Bachelors of Science in Child and Family Development from Georgia Southern University. I have conferred my Masters of Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix and my Educational Leadership credentials from the University of West Georgia.
